Each week I summarize the coworking stories, updates, celebrations, event invites, discussions and videos folks may have missed.

I send them out via a newsletter each Thursday night, and then invite folks to discuss them on Clubhouse on Friday mornings.

Accor announced that they’d be expanding their flex workspace offerings from Wojo Spots and Corners to also recreate remote offices for co’s of all size.

Although officially announced in September 2020, it was talked about in last week’s This Week In Coworking Clubhouse call, and is being included here as the news may have been missed by others in the industry.

Marko Orel , Ondrej Dvoulety and Vanessa Ratten have published a new book called The Flexible Workplace offers different perspectives on the benefits and challenges of the flexible workplace phenomena. Topics discussed range from defining and comparing flexible, coworking and corpoworking spaces, policies made in local environments, and the flexible working taxonomy.

HUUB by CO+HOOTS the digital, city-wide, data-driven platform connecting entrepreneurs with local support and resources won a national award from the Small Business Administration through the White House’s Dept. of Science and Technology .

:chart_with_upwards_trend: Coworking perks platform shares 2020 stakeholder report.

2020 was turbulent and challenging, but included.co saw a 13% growth in number of participating communities, introduced new offerings, a pilot ambassador program and invested into resources like the one you’re reading right now.

WorkClub and othership (prev. WeCoffee ) are both gearing up for crowd funding campaigns this year, allowing the public to invest in their companies and tech to connect remote workers to flexible nearby workspaces.
