Staying engaged with the coworking community when you're not at the space

Coworking spaces are awesome for the communities - events, interacting with other people, finding new connections when members are in the space.

But how do you stay connected to the entire community, while you’re away (maybe on a business trip, or often on-the-go, meeting clients)?

A way to stay engaged with discussions that are created, to know what’s happening in the space, to stay on top of it better without having to go into the office every day.

And not just receiving updates by email, but also being able to participate while you’re not there.

Hi Whitney. We use Podio as our member’s intranet system, and it’s great as we can build our own apps etc just by dragging and dropping elements. Podio is backed by Cisco, and is incredibly simple while being hugely powerful- we use it to run our business as well as the member’s intranet- everything from HR to our ops and processes are run from Podio. It’s a key part of our business.

Here’s the kind of engagement it creates- http://screencast.com/t/1SXeqmrw

It’s been so successful for us that we now offer Podio consultancy to other hubs, and other similar organisations (we’ve just done some consultancy for a local museum)
