Starting a cowork group community before opening a space

Hi,
I Would like to start a cowork community before I open up aspace, I read that it is recommended because the community is what keeps the cowork workspace buisiness going. Also I will be able to test the market and get opinions. Any thoughts on how I can create a community before opening a space?
Thank you!

I have learned SO MUCH from listening to coworking podcasts. Give them a try!

I agree on the podcasts!

There are also a bunch of awesome Facebook groups that you can join. Those groups are very resourceful, and the best part is that you can keyword search within the the group posts to find previous conversations on the topic you’re interested in

Hope this helps a little.

Community is created through meet ups, conversations, hosting an event, and in general creating it organically.

Start a conversation with someone at the coffee shop who has a laptop and looks to be working.

I interviewed the founders of an all-women coworking space in texas not long ago and this is exactly what she adviced in order to build a healthy sustainable business. If you’d like, you can read her interview here https://www.coworkingresources.org/blog/why-you-should-build-your-coworking-community-before-you-build-your-space

Hi,
I am also trying to start a community owned workspace here in Ireland and all this info will be a great help. I am especially in developing Podcasting to promote it and to make the studio and equipment available to the businesses there to promote themselves. This I hope will help to develop the notion of community.
