I am hearing from web devel and other techies that they know they need more time promoting their work—but all their love and energy goes into their work.
I’m also hearing from young new social media types (mostly talented interns from local universities) who LOVE to promote a project or a person they believe in–but are having trouble linking up with someone where they can really show what they do and build a portfolio.
It’s got me thinking…should we do meet up…like (don’t laugh) a speed-dating. A meeting where everyone brings their projects and their skills, puts it up on the board, and we try to make matches?
I can offer my space at 11th & Morris for the meet up!
Any thoughts? Any interest?
