Requesting Feedback on Unity for People Platform

Hello Everybody,

My name is Joey and I’m looking for some feedback on a tool I am creating, in part, for coworking spaces. I would love to hear if you would actually use this, why you would, or why you would not use this platform. The platform is for the movers, shakers, dreamers and do’ers in a community to collaborate and leverage skillsets to help each other. I would love to help create the community of coworking spaces and capitalize on the amazing people we have within our spaces.

Please take a few minutes to play around with the platform here:

Some info about Unity for People:
We are surrounded by amazing people but who are they? This platform exists to create a space to connect with them, collaborate and leverage skillsets for people to help people.

Our mission is: Connecting people together to build social capital and generate tremendous strides in technology, development, education, business and nonprofits that would be unachievable alone.

**Connections: **Allows you to see who is in the network and their skillsets. (no friending/adding, you are automatically connected within the network)

**Collaboration Corner: **Ask the entire community a question via chat, post ideas, share links and post jobs

**Events: **Aggregates all the events in a community to one place (pulls data from Facebook + can add individual events)

**Messages: **Send someone a direct message/chat room for all members in a network to ask questions.

**Promotions: **A space for a business/entrepreneur to share their business/organization, offer special promotions.

Overarching concept: LinkedIn meshed with Slack, CoFounders Lab and parts of AngelList.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback!

Let me know if you have any questions

Hey Joey,

I took a look at your materials and am very interested to learn more.

To everyone else - what tools do you currently use to accelerate collaboration and conversation amongst your members? I know a lot of people like Slack, but this solution (if done right) looks like it could be a bit more tailored to the needs of a community as opposed to Slack, which was designed for teams that work together on projects.
