Phone system

Hello, I am looking for a phone system that will allow our frontline staff to receive calls for members that sign up for the service and transfer them. Is there such a thing? TIA

Hi Heather,

Welcome to the group.

There are a number of phone systems out there that can accomplish what you are talking about. Some of the more popular ones are offered by Yardi Kube (https://www.yardikube.com/) and Essensys (https://essensys.tech/), however both can be fairly pricey, so you will want to make sure that you have enough customers that want that service to make it worth your while. I believe that both of these systems use a software application called EVO (https://evo.tech/) that allows a receptionist to identify who the call is for, answer the calls properly and then transfer them to your clients. EVO can also be used on some other phone systems, so you might want to contact them directly.

If you want to offer live reception service to your clients, but you don’t want to invest in a complicated phone system or the staff to perform this service, there are also companies like Alliance Virtual Offices (https://www.alliancevirtualoffices.com/phone-service-for-your-business.php) that offer off-site live reception services that can be resold to your clients. If you are interested in this as an option for your company, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] or 702-723-2523.

Take care,
Nathan Jansch

I really like Voip.MS because it is super cheep and capable. The web interface is a little bit of a bear to navigate but when you get the hang of it then it is pretty straight forward.

Here is a referral link you can use to setup an account: https://voip.ms/en/invite/MjM0NTU3

You can set this up to either go directly to your staff’s cell phones (even though they call the main number) or you could setup a VOIP phone at the front desk that rings directly. Lots of options.

Have you looked into Ooma? I’m not sure if it can forward calls to outside phone/mobile numbers, but it will allow you to have a phone system regardless of physical location.

We use Dialpad at our company! Check em out!
