Invoicing and online payments

Hey! I’m curious what folks are using for invoicing their members nowadays? How do you accept payments? What do you like/not like about the software/services you’re using? If you were starting from scratch right now, what would you use?

Is anyone using waveapps.com?

We recently switched to using Xero for accounting although we don’t use it for invoicing. We don’t actually invoice. We bill using recurring billing on our payment gateway (usaepay) and they can get a recipe for their charges through Nadine, a custom app we’ve been writing over the years.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE FreshBooks!

I promise I don’t work for FreshBooks, although I ask them to work with me on a lot of things

They are great supporters of small businesses.

I found them years ago and I recommend them to most of my clients and members.

I use them for all of my companies and everything about it is super-intuitive and easy to use.

(Even if you’re not the best with numbers)

The app is also great and I use it for tracking time and keeping track of receipts etc.

Come tax time, I can do my own because everything I need is right there in the reports.

I’m such a fan, I’ve even asked Mike McDermott to speak at GCUC Canada this September.

They know exactly what it’s like to grow a business from scratch and they are also amazing if you need help with anything.

I’ll echo the Freshbooks love. It can be a bit complicated to set up all the right SKUs depending on what your desk packages look like but once it gets going, it’s beautiful.

I am using Nexudus - www.nexudus.com - to manage my space (www.coworking4you.com) in Germany.

I takes not only care of creating the invoices for the monthly member fees plus additional charges e.g. for booking meeting rooms, lockers, etc. Members can book meeting rooms online, so no need to put manual work on this also. The system is completely provided as a cloud service, which means there was no need for me to setup my own hardware.

When I started to us it, the system was not available in German. With support of Nexudus the translation was performed within one day. Second day I did setup my packages and additional offerings and could start immediately.

Nexudus provides a lot of additional functionality which we use, like a member directory, community board, etc.

If you are looking for something which helps to automate the organisation of your coworking space as far as possible, I recommend to take a look at it.

We’ve just started using www.nesk.io to manage all our casual members at our coworking space www.depo8.com . Works a treat with over 60 casuals self managing check in and out with their preferred credit card. The system works in the background and auto bills via Stripe. Very neat and easy to setup.
