Interns at a coworking space

Hi you all! Here Miguel from coSfera in Córdoba, Spain.

Our space is running for two years but it were not until we decided to move to the city center that we gained traction. Indeed, we are now 48 members, full of events, and several growing communities.

At first, we decided not to have interns, mainly because we were focusing on learn and growth, but just now, we have reached another point, but we feel confused about the role and functions of an intern in a coworking space.

So, what’s your opinion about taking interns? What kind of functions and roles are your interns assuming?

We host interns keeping in mind two things:

  • They must get something out of their internship
  • We also want to get something out of it. They have to do something that is useful for us.
So that is what we ask each one of them. We work with local universities and the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program.

My first employee has been a former trainee.

Suerte,
