International Coworking Week

Anyone celebrating International Coworking Week?

We usually do a collaborative week of events with the other coworking spaces in town. Usually some free coworking days, seminars, end of the week party, one of our local founders has a three person bike he calls the co-cycle. Last year he did a tour around to the different spaces and used a GoPro to make a fun video.

This year we are getting stickers printed to hand out to members that say, “Ask me about coworking”

I think it’s a great opportunity to get some exposure in the media and out to the community about the benefits of coworking.

When is it again? Is there a website or a team to share common branding in place?

Yep would love to know when this is? Best, Matt

It would be the week of August 8.

I'm ready to set something up on coworking.org for it, if someone's game to help get it rolling!

Sure, the birthday! Am so bad at dates and times… Thanks Tony

So what is the deal?

How do we participate ?

Someone needs to step up to coordinate. I’ll give them a spot to use on coworking.org, if they’d like.

Toby from Citizen Space built a site at coworkingweek.com for it last year, but I know he’s not up for it this year.

In the meantime, everyone here can simply start planning to host events that week to raise awareness about coworking in their area. Once we have a site online, we can start aggregating and promoting the whole thing as one unified effort.

Who else is up for making plans for that week?

We can do something at @Work Hubs in London and spread the word.

We just don’t have the bandwidth for co-ordinating the whole thing.

I would also suggest that a page on coworking.org is WAY less labour and more nimble than building out a site.

In my experience a lot of energy gets spend getting a site together rather than getting people together

We will definitely be planning something but I haven’t had time to sit down and give it much thought.
