Hi from Dublin

I just joined the group and wanted to briefly say hi. I’m a freelance software developer based in Dublin, Ireland, and am actively exploring opening a coworking space in my neighborhood. Dublin already has a few spaces, but they’re mostly aimed at startups. I’ve worked out of a couple of them, and in those place, while they’re really great, people tend to huddle with their own teams and be less involved in cross-sharing than I would like. So I’m planning to aim straight at people like myself, along the lines of “work for yourself but not alone” and “sum > parts” etc. Any thoughts around that approach would be especially welcome!

Hey Thilo!

I hear this a lot, so you’re not alone. I even jotted down one of the stories here: https://medium.com/@alexknowshtml/ive-been-going-to-this-coworking-space-but-e3befd6cbf6b#.dtr6inwse

If you dig into that story, you’ll also find what the people in it did to find other people like themselves. Lots of good tips in there for ya

Good luck, and welcome to the group! Keep us posted on your community building progress.
