GCUC Website is live!

Hello Everyone,

We are very excited to announce that the website for the 2012 Global Coworking Unconference Conference is LIVE and registration is now open! Check it out: www.austingcuc.com

Order your tickets now and get those hotel reservations in place (It’s going to be a busy week in Austin, so the sooner the better)!

We’ve put a lot of hard work into it and are continuing to work hard in order to make this a great experience for everyone!

Don’t forget to follow @AustinGCUC too!

Thanks,

Claire- Thanks for all your hard work on this. I'm very excited about
this and I'm trying to make sure i don't miss this one.

I know last year there was some discussion around "co-housing" or "co-
hoteling". As someone who may drive 16 hours to get there and save
some cash, I was wondering if there were any opportunities to match up
with some other tight wads like me to share a space. I'm not proud
either, and would consider couchsurfing at the home of some Austin
coworking superstar.

Wow. Now that I have come off like a wayfaring hobo I'll conclude and
watch the discussion. If you are interested in this, feel free to
message me offline as well.

Thanks for the e-mail, Joel! In the spirit of Coworking, I’ve created a GoogleDoc for Co-housing or Co-Hoteling to gauge the need everyone has for lodging. I’ll let everyone collaborate and coordinate with each other from there:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AirsX3Yvm7pzdGEzT25oUTdoN1QxYWdOUzdVX05Fenc&hl=en_US#gid=0

I will also put a link to this spreadsheet on www.austingcuc.com

You can also see some additional help under “Where should I stay?” on http://www.austingcuc.com/faq/

Hope this makes things easier!

Thanks,

Claire Rodriguez

Claire, you are establishing a record of overperformance and outshining the rest of us mere mortals. Claire = Action + Awesome. JFDI Jedi elite.

Just to get the collaborative juices flowing on this spreadsheet, I’ll share my entry here. Looking forward to seeing what epic things come out of this.

Driving from Iowa to Austin down I-35. Willing to pick up coworking hitchhikers on the way to share fuel & create myths and legends with. Looking for a place to stay locally (not a hotel) or person to share a hotel room with (if necessary). Willing to sweeten the deal by bringing Iowa’s finest craft beer along to share once in Austin. Craigslist killers need not apply.

Thanks & God Bless,

Joel Bennett
