Does anybody know a coworking operations company?

Hi,
I’m working on opening a coworking space in DC but I’m looking for someone experienced to run it. Does anybody know if there is a company that offers these services?

If that doesn’t exist, maybe anybody knows an experienced person who could do it?

Thanks

Cecilia

Hi Cecilia! Can you describe a bit more about what you have in mind?

If you are opening a space but don’t intend to run it, what do you anticipate your role to be?

Hey Ceceillia,

Yes there are companies that are wanting to go and expand their operations in this way. Creative Density in Denver just got offered a management operations contracts do something like this. If you’d like to reach out or ask specific questions I can try to answer some of them. Hopefully, this will guide you in the right direction to seeing if this is the right path for you and, if so, find you the right partner.

Craig

Tony,
We are the partners who will own it.

We want to hire someone to manage it, just like the hotels work.

There are companies who run hotels and are hired by the Hiltons of the world.

I know Jerome Chang does that for the owner of a building.

Hi Cecilia,

I am organizing the Global Workspace Association conference (umbrella organization for the collaborative consumption workspace movement). One of our breakout sessions is "Ask an Operator (anything!). Three of the folks on the panel run their own spaces and manage spaces for others. We have also considered adding a breakout “Build or buy” to address your exact question. More info on the conference here: conference.globalworkspace.org. My email is [email protected]

Sorry for the delayed response. The correct email address is [email protected].

I obviously need to update a few links on the website from the transition.
