Coworking visa?

How can I add my venue in to the coworking visa?
Does it works?

Yes it does work. I think you need to sign up first then upload your co-working space.

Good afternoon,

Any Manhattan coworking spaces here with available hotdesk?

Thank you, Morgan.

Hey Daniela,

I administer the Coworking Visa, so I’m here to help. :slightly_smiling_face:

You may have been getting an error if you just tried registering recently—hang tight as we are performing some maintenance.

I’ll update you when you should try again!

Hi Daniela, The coworking visa is hosted across at least 2 sites each with its own governance and admins, for accountability and accessible viewing options. https://coworkingvisa.net is another site you can add your venue at. Participating coworking spaces at CoworkingVisa.net have seen an increase in usage of the visa since we started a year ago. A Spanish-speaking homepage is at https://coworkingvisa.net/es/ and if you’d like to be involved in getting more venues involved, that’d be great. Alex

Hi Alex,

Just feedback about this for what it’s worth, from someone who probably doesn’t understand what’s going on:

Having two separate lists that are basically doing the same thing, using the same name, but that are independently administered seems counterproductive to me. It divides rather than unites. It forces me to choose, which makes me less likely to want to sign up to either list. It suggests the two projects are competing rather than supporting each other, which is contrary to the spirit of the coworking visa and so reduces my trust in the intentions of both groups (or would, if I hadn’t been around since the start of the original and didn’t already know the good intentions that went into that).

I can understand that there are things that aren’t perfect about the original coworking visa, but if you’re going to use the same name and concept, wouldn’t it be better to contribute to helping make that list better rather than to create an alternative platform with completely different administrators? Knowing some of the people behind that original project, I imagine they’d love the help and it would be a win-win.

Or what am I misunderstanding assuming I’ve got it wrong?

Best,

Will

@will thanks for this. I haven’t been able to put my frustration into words over the creation of the second list. You did it well and without saying fuck as many times as I would have.
