Bay Area Co-Working Research Visit

Hi All,

Im a PhD student studying co-working and I'll be in the Bay Area Friday through Monday, hoping to check out some of the original co-working type spaces and co-working spaces that work really well. I am also particularly interested in unique spaces that are perhaps changing up the model a bit.

I would love it if y'all might share with me what your fave Bay Area co-working or maker-spaces might be. And, for those of you out in the extended Bay, if you'd like a visitor at your space, please send a message my way! I'd love to meet you and see your space.

All best,

There are quite a few in the region. Off the top of my mind, hacker dojo, noisebridge, geekdom by rackspace, citizenspace. There are also a number of accelerators that operate similar to the coworking model.

If you make it down to Santa Cruz you can check out Cruzioworks, NextSpace and The Satellite all in one day. 3 very different models, co-existing in the same community.

Cruzio is an ISP/Data Center/Coworking facility and we’d be happy to offer you a free day pass.
