Alex: do you still have an email list digest of best coworking news?

Hi Alex,

I changed some email addresses and no longer get the weekly digest. Do you still create it and if so what’s the url to subscribe?

I figured I’d email this request to the whole group since I haven’t seen mention of it since you first announced it (a year or two ago?), and I would imagine it’s a resource many (most?) people on this list would be interested in. Feel free to describe it in your words in a reply (assuming it still exists).

To all: I think Alex has made an effort not to use the list to self-promote unless it’s clearly something intended to benefit the group. In this case I think it’s a resource the list should be periodically reminded of (along with other high-quality coworking media / information resources we might benefit from). It’s free and useful for those passionate about the coworking universe.

Hey Will,

http://coworkingweekly.com has actually been rebooted as of a couple of months ago!

I quietly sunsetted the weekly news recap last year, because frankly, it was highlighting to me the fact that there wasn’t a lot of “quality” press. Every week it was getting harder to find things that weren’t just rehashes, and at the same time, link-list readership was dwindling.

The worst part about it was that it was a one-way communication blast. I was sending stuff out every week, but there wasn’t a lot of directly actionable info inside so I almost never heard back from anyone. Those of you who DID write back from time to time, thank you

Sooooo about 2 months ago, I rebooted Coworking Weekly to be more of a conversational channel. It let’s me share some of the kinds of things I post here to this list with more people, to get a better sense of who is in that readership and to answer people’s questions directly.

Here’s what it’s looked like so far:

http://archive.aweber.com/coworkingweekly

I decided not to send directly to my old CoworkingWeekly audience and rebuild the list from scratch, so if you were on the old list and want to start getting the new, more actionable emails (once a week-ish), the new coworkingweekly.com is your jam.

Thanks, Alex! Good to hear. Completely understand why you retired the original version, but from a reader’s perspective it’s a shame as I enjoyed the weekly summary and commentary.

That’s just it - the new version is ALL summary and commentary.
