I saw this about Portland Oregon, 10x growth in square footage for ‘coworking’ over 7 years:
What other industries have experienced growth like this? Coffeeshops when Starbucks started? Curious to learn from other industries. Definitely coffee has differentiation from local cafes vs Starbucks, and has chains more like Starbucks – how did that differentiation happen, was there an alliance of local cafes or some cafes that led the marketing innovation – does anyone know the history?
