I just joined the group and wanted to briefly say hi. I’m a freelance software developer based in Dublin, Ireland, and am actively exploring opening a coworking space in my neighborhood. Dublin already has a few spaces, but they’re mostly aimed at startups. I’ve worked out of a couple of them, and in those place, while they’re really great, people tend to huddle with their own teams and be less involved in cross-sharing than I would like. So I’m planning to aim straight at people like myself, along the lines of “work for yourself but not alone” and “sum \> parts” etc. Any thoughts around that approach would be especially welcome!

Hey Thilo!

I hear this a _lot,_ so you’re not alone. I even jotted down one of the stories here: [https://medium.com/@alexknowshtml/ive-been-going-to-this-coworking-space-but-e3befd6cbf6b#.dtr6inwse](https://medium.com/@alexknowshtml/ive-been-going-to-this-coworking-space-but-e3befd6cbf6b#.dtr6inwse)

If you dig into that story, you’ll also find what the people in it did to find other people like themselves. Lots of good tips in there for ya 🙂

Good luck, and welcome to the group! Keep us posted on your community building progress.

-Alex
