Hello all,

So happy to have come across this page as we are opening a new coworking space in downtown Wake Forest, NC. We are set to open on June 28th. I am currently working on a new member welcome packet and here is what I have included so far.

- Welcome letter to our new members from the staff
- Information about our online booking system
- List of local restaurants and a map
- A list of our various membership options if they need a refreshed or would like to upgrade their package

It seems so short to me as those things only take up about 3 pages. What else am I missing that I could put on there?

Thanks,

Janna J.

If you can get someone to read three pages all in one shot, you have some of the most engaged members on the planet 😉

In addition to the more tactical “how to use things” we also put a lot of emphasis on how people can interact with each other. Coworking is new and weird for…just about everybody, so to help people feel more comfortable we’ve included in our onboarding are specific tips that specifically from other members. I emailed our list and asked _“what’s one tip you wish someone had shared with you your first week, that you’d want to share with someone at the end of their first week”?_

Essentially the goal here is to , as early as possible, get your members used to realizing that the most valuable resource around them is their fellow members…and as a bonus, this also helps new people match some names with faces. 🙂

We send this out as part of an email onboarding instead of a big “packet” - that way people can take time over their first few weeks to absorb new information in smaller chunks. Here’s an [example](https://forum.coworking.org/uploads/short-url/p8EDXAIKjlBR4eNbftel05cngUc.png) the email I mentioned above, including tips from fellow members.

Glad it’s helpful Janna - share your version here when you can, would be great to see what you do with it. 🙂
