# Diversity and inclusion policy?

Do you have a coworking space Diversity and Inclusion policy that you’d consider sharing with me?

I’m Fiona, a founding director (and long term ops manager till my retirement 3 years ago) of Halton Mill, s rural coworking project in Halton near Lancaster UK. It’s based in a converted former engineering factory, is run as a non profit cooperative, and is owned by Lancaster Cohousing where I live when I’m not travelling.

I’m currently doing a few modules from an online MA in Global Cultures at Kings College London (just for interest , I already have all the qualifications I will ever need). I did one about language and one about culture and connections related to migration. Can highly recommend it. Anyway the one I’m foi g now is called Diversity and Inclusion and the assignment requires us to analyse a DEI policy. I’d really like to do a coworking space one rather than an educational institution one which is more “obvious” - in due course I’d like to discuss introducing one to Halton Mill - we’ve never had one.

If you have one and are willing to share yours that would be great , ideally with a bit of commentary about what led to its instigation and how it’s been received and used in practice. Hi. I don’t have a policy per se because we’ve both practiced good measures and have always had at least 50% non white. Even with 4 candidates we are about to hire, 2 are black, 1 is Asian and 1 is white. I was only involved once they came in for finals.
