Any individuals out there who founded a space and now looking to help others through consulting?
Most Space founders have an insatiable drive to help others do what makes them come alive in business, so It’s in our DNA to help others whether they be small business in their space or new coworking space startups.

It’s in our DNA? Yeah… can’t argue with you there. Yes, I love helping spaces get started and have done various levels of consulting. But I’m not really interested in a solo consulting career as it’s also in my DNA to prefer to work with other people. To that end I’m joining forces with a few people in the Coliving world who started the Open Door Development Group. I’m excited about where this could lead.

Hi Em,
I work for Cobot, an app for coworking spaces, and we also run our own space in Berlin, co.up. We don’t do consulting, but are starting to put up resources available for anyone interested in opening a coworking space - the discussion about service agreements, different membership options, billing and payments knowledge… you can take a look at http://learn.cobot.me. Are there any specific topics you are interested in?
Cheers,
Cristina

I do and start by steering people to our ebooks which are a very affordable way to get inside our brains. http://coherecommunity.com/the-goods. Consulting is especially fun for me right now as I’m in the process of building the community up for our 2nd and wildly different space, “Cohere Bandwidth: shared rehearsal spaces make our city sound better.” You can read all about our year long process so far here http://coherecommunity.com/blog/tag/cohere-bandwidth.
Additionally here is my basic package and I do a la carte hourly sessions also. Email me to have a complimentary 30 minute call to see if we’re compatible. angel @ coherecommunity dot com.
Business Model Sample: Get an actual business plan for a coworking space. $100
Coworking Space Specific Profit/Expenditure Excel spreadsheet with built-in formulas and estimated costs for everything you’ll need to start a space. See how long it will take you to break even and start profiting. $200 (must have Excel to use)
First Community Meetings Template: How to go about running your first TWO community building meetings with ideas for topics, education and supplies you’ll need. $50
Customer Avatar Exercise: This is a way to get inside your potential member’s head, distill your vision for WHO will make up your community and figure out how to find them. If I complete this with you it’s $250, if you would just like the questions and to do it on your own it’s $100.
The whole Shee-BANG: If you want everything I just listed as a package + an extra hour of consulting it’s $500 flat.

Hey Em,
There are several of us that have been coworking consultants for the last few years. Some of the most active ones that I’m aware of are Angel of Cohere, Alex of IndyHall, Tony from New Work City, Jacob of Office Nomads, and I do as well. Check out this group and our blogs for some great information. If you’d like to contact some of us directly please do so. We are all pretty darn friendly people.
Craig
Hi Em,
We’ve put together a “business in a box” for our type of space, which is coworking with a bit more in the way of offerings. We’re currently consulting with a couple of groups. Email me off line if you want more info.

Christina,
This is a great resource for those of us who are starting out from a management of services perspective. The difference sections are very informative for newbies like me seeking to start and grow my own community. Thank you for this resource.
Do you happen to know of any coworking spaces in Michigan who use your services? I’d love to connect with a consumer of your products at Cobot.
thanks again,
Aaron
